This past tuesday, Outspark Lauched its Closed Beta Test of their free FPS Game called Blackshot. It is suppoe to be an action FPS game that will rivial those on other gaming portals. Blackshot like many other games in this genre, are licenced from Korea. As with all CB testing, blackshot had its share of problems in such as latency issues and game crashes. So far Blackshot is looking like it will become very popular due to its fast paced game play and different gaming options. Unlike other games in this genre, Blackshot allows players to pick a specfic character and modify it using Bounty Points (BP) as well as later on outpark cash. Similar to Combat Arms players rent guns equipment and custom armor for their character. Players are able to play against other players in capture the flagg or search and destroy bombing missions where one team defends and the other tries to plant a bomb in desigated points. A gaming mode that sets this game apart is the fun Bunker Defense mode where upto 4 players have to withstand an onslaught of enimies that are set to destory your bunker. Players must last at least 8 minutes 35 seconds to be rescued. This is a very fun mode and allows players to try out multiple weapons that can be picked up in this mode. Blackshot does fall short in that its user interface is a little confusing as well as the graphics are as good as most games in the genre or falls a little short. Hacking has always been a huge issue in all games of this gnere and we shall see how outspark deals with that as well as latency issues since everyone plays on a central server. The bottom line is if you like games from like soldier front and combat arms, it is well worth it to try out Blackshot. For more information about Blackshot go visit them at Outspark
